Triggertrap since it started as a Kickstarter almost a year ago, and now, as the final units start to ship, the creators have unveiled a whole new product: Triggertrap Mobile. People who already forked out for the Kickstarter will have the new dongle bundled inside their package, but new users will be able to buy the cabling separately and when combined with an iPhone app, it’ll allow a ludicrous amount of control from your smartphone.
This Kickstarter project has earned support for good reason- this watch looks very, very promising. With a customizable watch face and useful apps, it meets the needs of our day to day lives all in a sleek package. Incoming calls, emails, messages, bike computer, music control, even a golf rangefinder, you name it, this watch can handle it. Familiar with coding? We heard it five months ago and we’re hearing it again: Facebook is working on its own smartphone. It’s a rumor that sends the mind reeling with speculation. What, exactly, would a super-social phone even look like?
According to a Wednesday DigiTimes story, Facebook has partnered with HTC on the development of a smartphone. The report says the phone will run on a Facebook-exclusive platform built on top of Google’s Android operating system, and will integrate all of the features and functions available on the social networking site.
One Laptop Per Child, the non-profit organization whose mission is to help every child worldwide gain access to an up-to-date education, in conjunction with tech company Marvell, unveiled the XO 3.0 tablet at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The low-cost, low-power tablet, which can be charged by solar panels, is the successor to the laptops that the charity has distributed to more than 2.4 million kids in 42 countries.
