tibbr Enterprise for Desktop
“Simple, crisp, beautiful user experience.”
– Randy Wagner, Apache
About 6 years ago I decided to take a small break from agency life and went in-house for a while. I took the role of Creative Director of Product for an enterprise social networking platform called tibbr. Before I was hired, they only had a engineering department, no design. Thus, what they created was a great back end with an out-of-the-box interface. So I came in and gave the whole product a facelift: re-branding (the only thing I didn’t touch was the logo), improved the UX, completely re-designed the interface from scratch (!), and built a small team of designers.

Here’s what the product looked like before I was hired, for reference:
And here’s the home page after the redesign:
tibbr also has subject pages, which could be interpreted as a project, a specific team, an event, or a department.
There is also a directory, where users can easily search for subjects and people within their company.
We even added a little gamification and included Leaderboards for users with the most activiity.
I won’t bore you with every single screen from the product (just ask if you want to see more!), but we also offered additional features such as this file-sharing app. Not only could you share files locally, but you could connect to your other file-sharing and storage websites such as Box and import, view and share from those as well.
